Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the right to opt out of the sale of their personal information.
Our position
Conisec does not sell personal information, and never has. We run no advertising, no analytics and no third-party trackers, and we do not share personal information with data brokers or advertising networks. There is nothing to opt out of.
Your other CCPA rights
You also have the right to know what personal information we collect and to request its deletion. What we collect is listed in our privacy policy — in practice, server logs and anything you send us directly.
Making a request
To make a request, contact us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
Why the answer here is straightforward
Under California law the terms “sell” and “share” are broader than money changing hands. Sharing personal information with an advertising network for cross-context behavioural advertising counts, even where no payment is involved — which is why most publishers need a mechanism here at all.
Conisec has no advertising network, no data-management platform, no social pixel and no analytics product. There is no third party receiving anything about you, because no third-party resource loads on this site at all. There is consequently nothing to opt out of.
What we hold
Server logs, which are operational and not used to build a profile of you, and — if you subscribe when sign-up opens — the email address you gave us, used only to send the digest. Nothing is enriched, appended, scored or resold.
Verify rather than trust
The claim above is checkable in about ten seconds. Open developer tools, reload any page here, and read the Network tab: every request should be to this domain. Our cookies page sets out how to check storage too. A publication asking you to verify its subjects should expect to be verified itself.
Global Privacy Control
We honour the Global Privacy Control signal. In practice that changes nothing about how this site behaves, because there is no sharing to suppress — but the signal is respected rather than ignored.
